Zoho, a global leader in software development and cloud-based tools, has partnered with Bridge International Academies to enhance education in Kenya, Nigeria, and Uganda. Bridge, which provides affordable education to underserved communities, runs more than 1,500 schools across these countries. This collaboration was announced during the Zoholics Lagos Press Conference, Zoho’s annual user event.
The main goal of this partnership is to help Bridge continue its mission of improving educational outcomes. Zoho’s cloud-based tools, like Zoho Workplace, Zoho CRM, and Zoho Desk, will now be integrated into Bridge’s operations. These tools will help Bridge improve communication between teachers, administrators, and parents, while also improving the management of student data.
Using Zoho’s solutions, Bridge will be able to assess teaching methods and track student performance more effectively. For example, Zoho Analytics will allow Bridge to measure attendance, understand how students are progressing, and make informed decisions about refining their teaching methods. This data-driven approach aims to provide better education to more students in Africa.
In addition to providing technology solutions, Zoho is sponsoring school uniforms, shoes, and tuition fees for 200 underprivileged students in Bridge’s schools. This support will last for four academic terms, starting in late 2024. The sponsorship is aimed at reducing financial barriers to education. Zoho will also distribute eco-friendly school bags made from recycled materials, supporting sustainability efforts in the region.
Kehinde Ogundare, Zoho’s country head in Nigeria, explained that the partnership with Bridge is part of Zoho’s broader commitment to supporting education and communities across Africa. Zoho’s tools are built to meet the specific needs of different industries, including education, making them an ideal partner for Bridge. This partnership reflects Zoho’s ongoing efforts to create social impact across Africa. Zoho has a long history of supporting non-profit organizations and educational institutions. Other organizations they’ve collaborated with include She Code Africa, MOMO Pencils, and J-Hub Africa, all of which are working towards education and social progress in the region.
Through this collaboration, Zoho aims to help Bridge expand its operations and continue providing high-quality education to students across Kenya, Nigeria, and Uganda.
