The University of Ilorin has issued a final deadline for its graduates to collect their unclaimed certificates.
UNILORIN disclosed this in a statement signed by M.A. Alfanla, on Sunday.
The university noted that it has set Friday, January 17, 2025, as the final deadline for unclaimed certificates.
The university management added that graduates who fail to collect their certificates by this date will be charged a penalty of ₦3,000 for each week of delay.
According to the statement, affected graduates are advised to bring along the necessary documents required for seamless collection.
The document includes evidence of payment for convocation, the original copy of the Statement of Result, the Student Identification Card, etc.
The statement read, “The University Management has observed that many certificates remain unclaimed by graduates (Undergraduate and Postgraduate) of the University.
“The University Management, therefore, urges all affected graduates to turn up and collect their certificates on or before Friday, 17th January 2025. Thereafter, failure to do so will attract a fine of N3,000.00 per week.
“In view of the foregoing, affected graduates are hereby advised to bring along the necessary documents required for à seamless collection, such as evidence of payment for convocation, the original copy of the Statement of Result, the Student Identification Card, etc.”
