UNILORIN Final Year Student Sets New Guinness World Record for Longest Mathematics Lesson

Kazeem Sanusi, a final-year student in the Department of Mathematics at the University of Ilorin, has reportedly set a new Guinness World Record for the Longest Mathematics Lesson, delivering an impressive 31-hour, 42-minute, and 54-second lecture.

The announcement was made on Tuesday by the university’s spokesperson, Kunle Akogun, who confirmed that representatives from the Guinness World Records were present to witness the historic achievement.

Sanusi surpassed the previous record of 26 continuous hours of teaching, capturing the attention and admiration of both university officials and students. The extraordinary feat took place in the presence of the Vice-Chancellor, Professor Wahab Egbewole, along with the Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Management Services), Professor Adegboyega Fawole.

Other top officials who attended the event included the university’s Registrar, Mansur Alfanla; Dean of the Faculty of Physical Sciences, Professor Abdullahi Baba; Dean of Student Affairs, Dr. Alex Akanmu; and the President of the Student Union, Victor Agezeh.

Sanusi’s remarkable accomplishment has not only brought pride to the University of Ilorin but also highlighted the resilience and brilliance of Nigerian students on the global stage.
