The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has announced the launch of its first Spring School in Digital Entrepreneurship and Cultures, aimed at equipping graduates with essential tech skills for the digital economy.
The programme, set to run from March 17–22, 2025, at the Faculty of Arts, will offer training in e-commerce, data analytics, coding, and startup funding strategies. It is open to postgraduate students, recent graduates, and aspiring entrepreneurs.
Convener Professor Tunde Ope-Davies highlighted the initiative as a step towards building a tech-skilled workforce, increasing employment opportunities, and fostering innovation. Vice-Chancellor Professor Folasade Ogunsola emphasized UNILAG’s commitment to future-ready education and industry collaboration.
The opening ceremony on March 18 will be chaired by Lagos State Deputy Governor Dr. Femi Hamzat, with a keynote speech by Tim Akano, CEO of New Horizons Limited.
