UNILAG, LASU, and Other Universities Announce Post-UTME Exam Dates for 2024/25 Academic Session

As the 2024/25 academic session approaches, several Nigerian universities have announced the dates and schedules for their Post-UTME exams. These exams are critical for candidates seeking admission into various tertiary institutions across the country. However, the requirements to participate in these exams vary depending on the university.

Lagos State University (LASU) has set the registration period for its online Post-UTME screening exercise from Monday, August 12 to September 6, 2024. Candidates who selected LASU as their first choice and scored at least 195 in the 2024 UTME are eligible to apply.

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) will conduct its Post-UTME screening between Monday, September 2 and Friday, September 6, 2024. According to the acting registrar, Mrs. Olakunle Makinde, only candidates who chose UNILAG as their first choice and scored 200 or above in the 2024 UTME are qualified to participate.

The Federal University of Technology, Akure (FUTA) has also announced its Post-UTME dates. Registration began on Wednesday, August 7, and will close on Friday, September 20, 2024. Eligible candidates must have scored a minimum of 180 in the 2024 UTME and selected FUTA as their first choice institution.

The University of Ilorin (UNILORIN) commenced its 2024/25 Pre-Admission Screening on Monday, August 5, and the registration will close on Sunday, August 18, 2024. UNILORIN will grade candidates based on three categories for admission consideration.

Tai Solarin University Of Education (TASUED) started the sale of its Post-UTME registration form on Monday, July 29, and will close it on Friday, August 23, 2024. The screening exercise will take place from Tuesday, August 27 to Thursday, August 29, 2024, for candidates who chose TASUED as their first choice and scored a minimum of 140 in the 2024 UTME.

Meanwhile, the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has clarified that any daily part-time program organized by tertiary institutions is fraudulent. JAMB emphasized that legitimate part-time programs typically occur on weekends or during specific periods, such as Friday evenings.
