The Federal Government of Nigeria is currently offering full scholarship opportunities for Nigerians to pursue undergraduate, master’s, and doctoral degrees at top institutions in Europe and Asia through the Bilateral Education Awards (BEA).

This opportunity is available only to eligible Nigerians, it covers tuition and living expenses.

Scholarship Details

The Federal Ministry of Education has announced the call for invitation for interested and qualified Nigerians to participate in the 2025/2026 Federal Government Scholarship Awards for BILATERAL EDUCATION AGREEMENT (BEA). 

The FSB Bilateral Scholarship is a result of bilateral agreements between the governments of Nigeria and partner countries in Europe and Asia.

Applicants are eligible to apply for undergraduate and graduate programs in the fields of Agriculture, Science, Technology, Management, Engineering, Medicine, Social Sciences, Humanity, Education, and Law.

Undergraduate FSB scholarships are tenable in Russia, Morocco, Hungary, Egypt and Algeria; while Postgraduate studies  are tenable in Russia (for those whose first degrees were obtained from Russia), China, Hungary, Serbia, Romania.

Required Documents

To apply for this scholarship, applicants must prepare:

  1. NIN Slip
  2. Passport Photograph
  3. Academic Transcript
  4. Birth Certificate
  5. Degree Certificate
  6. NYSC Certificate

These documents will be uploaded on the portal in JPEG format.

How to Apply

To apply for the FSB Bilateral Scholarship:

  • Visit the Federal Scholarship Board (FSB) application portal.
  • Create an account by filling out the application form with the correct email, password, first and last names, National Identity Number (NIN), and phone number. 
  • With the email and password entered on the previous page, login to the applicant’s dashboard.
  • Complete the biodata form with your correct details.
  • Fill out also the parents/Next of kin details (name, email, address, and phone number).
  • Please ensure to click SAVE after every page.
  • To complete the application, applicants will be required to upload the documents above in JPEG format.
  • Once the application is completed, print out the completed biodata form or save it as PDF for future reference.

Important Notes for Applicants

  • Candidates applying for the FSB scholarships in Hungary must visit the website: www.stipendiumhungaricum.hu before January 15, 2025.
  • All applicants for Russia should visit the Education In Russia website (All documents to be uploaded on the Russian Application portal and must be properly scanned in PDF format).
  • Candidates shortlisted for the scholarship will be contacted by the Ministry to submit other original documents.
