Oyo State TESCOM recruitment CBT exams

The Oyo State Post-Primary School Teaching Service Commission (TESCOM) has announced that the computer-based test (CBT) for applicants seeking teaching and non-teaching positions in the state’s public secondary schools will be conducted from July 29 to August 2, 2024. This announcement was made by TESCOM Chairman, Akinade Alamu, during a press briefing in Ibadan.

A total of 62,000 candidates have applied for the available positions, with 12,000 applicants vying for non-teaching roles and 50,000 for teaching roles. The examinations will take place at the CBT Centre, Ajibode, and the University of Ibadan Distance Learning Centre in Ibadan.

Applicants can check their exam dates and times on the job portal and must print their CBT schedule and application forms with passport photos. Mr. Alamu stressed the need to stick to the assigned times and dates for a smooth process and warned against loitering at the exam centers.

In addition to passing the CBT, successful candidates will need to attend an oral interview as part of the selection process. Mr. Alamu reassured the public of the commission’s commitment to conducting a credible and transparent recruitment exercise. He advised against relying on hearsay and urged applicants and the general public to refer to official channels for accurate information.

This recruitment drive is part of TESCOM’s efforts to hire 10,000 teaching and non-teaching staff to improve the quality of education in Oyo State’s public secondary schools. The process aims to ensure that qualified and dedicated professionals are selected to contribute to the state’s educational development.
