The Niger State Scholarship Board has announced the commencement of physical verification for students enrolled in higher institutions across Nigeria.
Set to begin on March 17, 2025, the verification exercise will start with the first batch of selected schools. The board has urged all students who successfully applied through the scholarship portal to attend, emphasizing the importance of the process.
To participate, students must present essential documents, including proof of admission, student identification, a letter of local government origin, a school fee payment receipt, and a printout of their scholarship application.
The verification exercise will be supervised by officials from the Scholarship Board, representatives from the registrars and deans of students’ affairs of the respective institutions, as well as leaders of the National Association of Niger State Students (NANISS) or their representatives.
As a reminder, the scholarship portal was open from January 14 to February 14, 2025, allowing both new and returning students to apply for financial aid under the state’s scholarship scheme.
