Speaking at the launch during a sensitization workshop in Abuja, President of Cradle2Harvard International School, Mr. Phrank Shaibu, described MySlates as a game-changer for digital education in Africa. Unlike generic e-learning platforms, he emphasized that MySlates is tailored specifically to the Nigerian curriculum, ensuring local relevance, accessibility, and affordability.
The platform provides an alternative to traditional textbooks while integrating multimedia-rich content, quizzes, and gamified learning to enhance engagement.
It also features AI-powered personalized learning pathways that adapt to each student’s progress, real-time collaboration tools for interaction with teachers and classmates, and a transparent monitoring system for parents to track academic performance, assignments, and feedback.
Among its key features, MySlates includes downloadable e-books and reference materials, 24/7 AI-powered learning support with chatbots and expert guidance, built-in planners and notifications, comprehensive subject coverage, AI-driven quizzes with performance analytics, offline learning capabilities, and scholarship finder tools.
System Engineer of MySlates, Dr. Abubakar Sani, highlighted that the platform bridges the gap between Learning Management Systems, Staff Management Systems, and modern educational tools. He noted that students will benefit from virtual reality-powered learning for real-life lab experiments, extensive exam preparation tools for standardized tests, bite-sized learning modules for better comprehension, and avatar-powered tutoring with celebrity-inspired virtual tutors.
Drawing inspiration from traditional black slates once used by early learners, MySlates is designed to offer students digital mobility, enabling learning anytime and anywhere. Security is also a key focus, ensuring user data remains private and protected.
