MTN Nigeria, a leading telecommunications company in Africa, has donated 4,600 tablets to the Federal Government of Nigeria to enhance education across the country. These tablets are pre-loaded with the uLesson app, a digital learning platform designed to improve the quality of education for Nigerian students. The devices will be distributed to secondary schools across all six geopolitical zones, ensuring that students nationwide can benefit from this initiative.
The Federal Ministry of Industry, Trade, and Investment, in collaboration with the Office of the National Security Advisor, is managing this significant educational project. The Nigerian government is committed to advancing education and digital literacy among the nation’s youth, and this partnership with MTN reflects that commitment. The Vice President of Nigeria has assured that his office will collaborate with MTN to establish clear criteria for selecting beneficiaries and ensure the smooth distribution of the tablets.
The uLesson app, developed by uLesson Education Limited, offers a comprehensive curriculum tailored specifically to the Nigerian educational system. It includes video lessons, quizzes, and interactive exercises covering key subjects like STEM, business, and the arts. The content on the tablets is designed to align perfectly with the national curriculum, helping students to supplement their classroom learning effectively.
At uLesson, the belief is that every child should have access to quality education, regardless of their location or socio-economic background. This partnership with the Federal Government and MTN is a significant step toward realizing that vision. By equipping students with these digital tools, MTN and uLesson are empowering the next generation with the knowledge and skills they need to thrive in today’s world.
