The Kent Law School is offering the LLM Global Welcome Scholarship for 2024, aimed at supporting students from developing countries who wish to pursue a taught LLM at the University of Kent’s Canterbury campus.

The Law School has established a significant fund to support overseas students who wish to study a taught LLM at the University’s Canterbury campus. This scholarship is available to students from any country that receives Official Development Assistance (ODA) from the OECD. Some of the eligible countries include Thailand, India, Nigeria, Kenya, Brazil, China, and Turkey, among many others.

Who can Apply?
You must meet all of the following conditions:
- Hold a valid passport demonstrating nationality of a country receiving ODA funding from the OECD. A full list of countries can be found on the OECD website.
- Be classified by the University of Kent as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes.
- Be fully self-funded.
- Have applied for the taught Kent LLM at the Canterbury Campus of the University of Kent for entry in September 2024.
- Have received an offer of a place on the taught LLM by the scholarship application deadline.
- Submit a scholarship application by the scholarship application deadline (applications without a scholarship application will not be considered).
Points to Note:
- You must meet the academic conditions of entry and be accepted for entry for the award to be given.
- This award cannot be held in conjunction with other awards and scholarships offered by Kent Law School or the Division for the Study of Law, Society, and Social Justice (only the award with the greater monetary value will be given). Contact the university for further information.
- Graduates of the University of Kent are eligible for the award if they meet the stated conditions.
- The award will only be provided for the original period of registration. Extensions will not be covered.
- There are 75 places available for this scholarship – any applications received after this cap will not be considered.
