Junior Achievement Nigeria, in collaboration with Boeing, has launched the STEMpreneurship Quest Program, a groundbreaking initiative aimed at empowering 600 secondary school girls across five Nigerian states through STEM and entrepreneurship education.

The program, which is being implemented in Ogun, Kano, Akwa Ibom, Plateau, and Enugu States, will involve 10 schools per state, selecting 12 girls from each school. It is designed to ignite interest in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) while nurturing entrepreneurial thinking among young girls.

“We are inspiring young girls to dream big and build bold solutions using the tools of STEM and entrepreneurship,” said Ugonna Achebe, Executive Director of Junior Achievement Nigeria. “With Boeing’s support, we’re breaking down barriers and helping the next generation of innovators see themselves as leaders and changemakers.”

The hands-on program includes design thinking workshops, real-world problem-solving, and training in applying STEM knowledge to develop practical, community-driven solutions. It emphasizes leadership, creativity, and initiative—key skills for thriving in today’s innovation-driven economy.

Aligned with Junior Achievement Nigeria’s commitment to entrepreneurship, digital literacy, and work readiness, the initiative also advances gender inclusion in STEM by preparing girls for future careers in tech and innovation.

This partnership marks a major step toward bridging the gender gap in STEM and supports JA Africa’s vision to empower 10 million girls across Africa by 2050. By investing in the talents of young Nigerian girls today, Junior Achievement Nigeria and Boeing are helping shape a more equitable and innovative tomorrow.
