The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has issued a strong warning to candidates who applied for the 2024 Direct Entry (DE) admission using awaiting results from the Interim Joint Matriculation Board Examination (IJMB) or the Joint Universities Preliminary Examinations Board (JUPEB). The Board has urged them to upload their results immediately to avoid losing their admission opportunities.

In an official statement released on Sunday in Abuja, JAMB’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr. Fabian Benjamin, emphasized the urgency of the matter. He advised all affected candidates to visit an accredited Computer-Based Test (CBT) centre without delay and ensure their results are uploaded as soon as they are available.

“Failure to comply with this directive will result in disqualification from consideration for the 2024 Direct Entry admission,” Dr. Benjamin stated.

He further noted that many candidates registered for the 2024 DE with awaiting results but have yet to upload them. He reiterated that verifying candidates’ credentials is a crucial step in determining their eligibility.

“No candidate will be considered for admission with awaiting results, just as it applies to UTME candidates. Any application still marked as ‘awaiting result’ (AR) that does not comply with this directive will be disqualified,” he warned.

JAMB also advised prospective 2025 Direct Entry applicants to be proactive by uploading their results immediately after release. This will ensure their status changes from ‘awaiting result’ and improve their chances of admission.
