The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the release of results for the 2025 Mock Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME), which was conducted nationwide on Thursday, April 10.

Candidates who participated in the optional mock exam can now check their results by sending “MOCKRESULT” via SMS to 55019 or 66019, using the same phone number used during registration.

Designed as a practice run for the main UTME, the mock exam helps candidates get familiar with the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format while also allowing JAMB to test new features introduced for this year’s exam cycle.

Out of the 200,113 registered candidates, 126,181 sat for the test. However, 73,844 candidates were absent, and 88 others couldn’t take the exam due to biometric verification issues.

JAMB revealed that results for 115,735 candidates have been released, while 10,446 results are still being processed and will be made available soon.

The Board acknowledged technical hitches experienced by some candidates, attributing them to new innovations being tested. “We regret any inconvenience caused and appreciate the support and understanding of both candidates and their parents,” the statement read.

Reaffirming the importance of the mock exam, JAMB noted that the exercise continues to serve as a valuable tool in refining its processes and enhancing candidates’ readiness.

“This initiative has consistently helped us identify and fix operational lapses while giving candidates real-time CBT experience,” said Dr. Fabian Benjamin, Head of Public Affairs and Protocol at JAMB.

The Board urged all candidates to stay focused and prepare adequately for the main UTME.
