The Federal Government of Nigeria is inviting applications for the Presidential Amnesty Scholarship 2024. This scholarship covers tuition fees and other educational expenses for formal undergraduate education at selected Nigerian universities.
The Presidential Amnesty Scholarship is part of the Presidential Amnesty Programme’s efforts to reintegrate Niger Delta ex-agitators. This program provides full scholarships to help these individuals acquire tertiary education in Nigeria. To be eligible for the Presidential Amnesty Scholarship 2024, applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Must be an indigene of one of the Niger Delta States: Abia, Akwa Ibom, Bayelsa, Cross River, Delta, Edo, Ondo, Imo, or Rivers.
- Only 2024 JAMB results are accepted.
- Applicants can register and save their applications while awaiting their results.
- Only new entrants into 100 level are eligible for Undergraduate and Master’s Degree Programs.
- Undergraduate applicants must use 2024/2025 JAMB and O’Level results (WAEC, NECO, or both).
- Scholarship recipients must maintain a minimum average CGPA of 2.5 out of 5.0 or 2.0 out of 4.0 to continue receiving support.
- Recipients must adhere to PAP regulations and avoid misconduct, as PAP reserves the right to withdraw the scholarship in such cases.
The scholarship provides financial aid to cover tuition fees and other educational expenses for both undergraduate and postgraduate studies in selected Nigerian universities. Required documents include:
- Application form
- O’Level results (WAEC/NECO) with a minimum of 5 Credits including English Language and Mathematics
- 2024/2025 JAMB result
- Local Government Letter of Identification
For postgraduate students, additional documents are required:
- Statement of Result or Degree Certificate
- Transcript of First Degree
- NYSC Certificate
