Born in 1952, Ruth attended Abeokuta Girls Grammar School and the University of Ibadan, Nigeria. Twenty years after her passing, her commitment to education and helping others lives on through this foundation, providing scholarships to Nigerian students.

Scholarship Benefits

The RTF Postgraduate Scholarship offers the following financial assistance:

  • Tuition Allowance: Up to ₦100,000.
  • Maintenance Allowance: Up to ₦20,000 to support living expenses.
  • Additional Allowances: Further financial support for travel, research, and fieldwork expenses, granted at the discretion of the scholarship committee.

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for the Ruth Titilayo Foundation Postgraduate Scholarship, applicants must meet these criteria:

  • Hold a Nigerian undergraduate degree with at least a second-class upper division (2:1).
  • Have studied at a Nigerian institution, either for their undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
  • Be either a current student or have been registered as a student within the last five years.

Additional Preferences:

  • Applicants pursuing a master’s degree or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
  • Individuals with relevant professional research or work experience.

Note: Final-year undergraduates are not eligible.
