Scholarship Details:
The Ashinaga Africa Initiative (AAI) is an international leadership program that provides scholarships to 20 outstanding students each year from Sub-Saharan African countries. The initiative aims to support orphans who have lost one or both parents and are committed to returning to their home countries to initiate positive change and innovation.
The program covers financial support for international university degrees and provides leadership training to help Scholars become impactful leaders in their communities.
Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the Ashinaga Africa Initiative Scholarship, applicants must:
- Have lost one or both parents.
- Have completed secondary school and received final examination results within the last two years (after August 1, 2022) or will receive their final results by February 9, 2024.
- Be born after September 1, 2001.
- Lack the financial means to attend university abroad without external assistance.
- Be proficient in English, French, or Portuguese.
- Have ranked in the top 10% of their class during the last 2–3 years of secondary school.
- Be able to participate in Ashinaga’s two preparatory programs before university.
- Be committed to returning to Sub-Saharan Africa after graduation.
- Have no dependents and be in good health.

Required Documents:

- Grades obtained at university (if applicable)
