The University of Kent is offering the 2024 Law School LLM Global Welcome Scholarship for overseas students who wish to study a taught LLM at its Canterbury campus. This scholarship is available to students from countries that receive Official Development Assistance (ODA) from the OECD, including Thailand, India, Nigeria, Kenya, Brazil, China, and Turkey, among many others.
This scholarship provides a £2,500 tuition fee discount to eligible students.

Eligibility and Benefits
To qualify for the Law School LLM Global Welcome Scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold a valid passport from a country receiving ODA funding from the OECD. The full list of eligible countries can be found on the OECD website.
- Be classified as an overseas student for tuition fee purposes by the University of Kent.
- Be fully self-funded.
- Have applied for the taught Kent LLM at the Canterbury Campus for entry in September 2024.
- Have received an offer of a place on the taught LLM by the scholarship application deadline.
- Submit a scholarship application by the deadline.
The scholarship offers a £2,500 tuition fee discount.

- The scholarship cannot be held in conjunction with other awards or scholarships offered by Kent Law School or the Division for the Study of Law, Society, and Social Justice. The award with the greater monetary value will be given.

- The award is only provided for the original period of registration. Extensions beyond the original period are not covered.
- There are 75 places available for this scholarship. Applications received after the cap is reached will not be considered.
Application Deadline and Process
The application deadline for the Law School LLM Global Welcome Scholarship is July 31, 2024. Interested students can apply through the Kent Applicant Portal after receiving an application for admission to one of the eligible courses.
