Scholarship Details:
The Shell Petroleum Development Company, in collaboration with NNPC, TotalEnergies, and AGIP, invites applications from qualified Nigerian students admitted into full-time academic studies for the 2022/2023 session for its University Scholarship Scheme.
This scholarship is part of Shell’s Social Investment program in education and is merit-based, divided into two categories:
- National Merit Award (NM): Open to all Nigerians.
- Areas of Operation Merit Award: Open to Nigerians who are indigenes of SPDC’s operational areas in Bayelsa, Delta, Imo, and Rivers States.
Eligibility Requirements:
To qualify for the 2024 NNPC/Shell Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be citizens of Nigeria.
- Be registered full-time undergraduates in an accredited and approved Nigerian university.
- Be in 200 Level or have proof of admission into an undergraduate program in the 2022/2023 academic session.
- Not be beneficiaries of any other scholarship from entities in the Oil and Gas Industry, either national or international.
Scholarship Duration and Reward:
- The scholarship is awarded for the duration of the undergraduate program, subject to meeting certain conditions.
- Recipients will receive ₦200,000 annually.
Required Documents:
Applicants need to submit the following documents:
- Passport photograph with a white background, not more than 3 months old (450px by 450px).
- School ID card.
- University or JAMB (UTME or D/E) Admission letter.
- JAMB Result.
- Letter of Identification from State (showing Local Government of Origin).
For Operational Area Awards, additional documents include:
- Letters of identification from the Paramount Ruler and the Chairman of the Community Development Committee or Community Executive Council, stamped and signed, addressed to:
- The Manager, Social Performance, The Shell Petroleum Development Company of Nigeria Limited (Shell), Shell Industrial Area, Port Harcourt, Rivers-State.
