Fidelity GreenTech Innovation Challenge

Applications are now open for the Fidelity GreenTech Innovation Challenge 2024. Launched by Fidelity Bank Ghana Limited through its Fidelity Young Entrepreneurs Fund (FYEF), this challenge aims to support innovative GreenTech solutions addressing critical issues in Ghana’s agricultural value chain. The initiative, implemented in partnership with Innohub, is designed to foster innovation, empower young entrepreneurs, and enhance the sustainability and efficiency of the agricultural sector in Ghana.

Focus Areas

The challenge focuses on five key areas:

  • Precision Agriculture: Enhancing crop monitoring, irrigation, and resource management.
  • Post-Harvest Management: Reducing post-harvest losses and adding value to agricultural products.
  • Digital Financial Services: Improving financial access for farmers through fintech solutions.
  • Climate-Smart Agriculture: Promoting sustainable farming practices.
  • Value Chain Optimization: Enhancing efficiency and profitability in agricultural value chains.

Eligibility

Applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Age: Male applicants must be between 18 to 40 years old; female applicants must be between 18 to 45 years old.
  • Team: Applicants must have a cross-functional team with diverse skills relevant to their proposed solution.
  • Focus: Solutions must address agricultural challenges within Ghana.

Application Process

All applications must be submitted by 23:59 GMT, Sunday, July 21, 2024. Late submissions will not be considered. Applicants should note that completing applications for more than one stage (ideation, scale-up, or commercialization) will lead to automatic disqualification.
