Training Details
The African Union CIEFFA (International Center for Girls and Women’s Education in Africa) and ImpactHER have collaborated to provide an online capacity building training program. The training focuses on addressing the challenges faced by young women and men in Africa, particularly in STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics), digital literacy, financial literacy, and entrepreneurship. It also aims to enhance the capacity of women teachers to effectively teach digital literacy and STEAM subjects.

The African Union CIEFFA, a specialized institution under the African Union Commission Department of Education, Science, Technology and Innovation (ESTI), promotes gender equality in education across Africa. ImpactHER is an award-winning non-profit organization empowering African female entrepreneurs by bridging the gender business financing gap to help them realize their full economic potential.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the 2024 African Union Capacity Building Training, applicants must:
- Be an African woman or man.
- Demonstrate motivation to learn digital skills, entrepreneurial skills, and financial literacy.
- Show leadership abilities, aspirations, and a commitment to promoting girls’ and women’s education.
- Have access to a good internet connection and a device (laptop, computer, smartphone, or tablet).
- Understand one of the training languages: English, French, or Portuguese.
- Hold African citizenship and reside either on the continent or anywhere in the world.
Benefits
Participants in the African Union Online Capacity Building Training Program will:
- Gain knowledge in gender equality in education, digital skills, entrepreneurial skills, and financial literacy.
- Receive certificates for completing courses in Digital Skills, Entrepreneurial Skills, and Financial Literacy (with at least 80% attendance per program).
- Become part of the African Union CIEFFA network and ImpactHER network.
- Increase their chances of being invited to fully-funded in-person activities by the African Union CIEFFA.
- Access other fully-funded online training sponsored by ImpactHER.

To apply for the 2024 African Union Capacity Building Training, follow these steps:
