Gradely mobile app for student learning

Gradely, a well-known EdTech company in Nigeria, has introduced a new mobile app aimed at boosting student learning. This announcement was made by Gradely’s CEO, Boye Oshinaga, during an event in Lagos on Thursday.

Gradely’s app uses advanced technology, fun games, and personalized tutoring to help students learn better. The app is designed to make learning more engaging and effective, promising to improve a student’s grades within just 20 hours of use.

Gradely has already helped over 100,000 Nigerian students across more than 500 schools. The company has received several awards for its innovative approach, including the “Adaptive Learning Solution of the Year” award in 2020 from the Federal Ministry of Education. Gradely also received a $100,000 grant from the Google Black Founders Fund and was included in the Mastercard Foundation EdTech Fellowship.

The new app features fun and animated content to make learning more interesting for students. It uses a reward system to keep students motivated and offers lessons tailored to each student’s learning style and progress. This personalized approach has shown great results. For example, Alexandra, a student from Lagos, saw her grades improve to 100% in English and 80% in math after using Gradely’s app. Her mother noted Alexandra’s increased confidence and eagerness to attend classes.

Another student, Oluwayanmife, also improved by 50% in English and math after using Gradely’s app. His parents praised Gradely’s tutors for their dedication and patience, highlighting the positive impact on Oluwayanmife’s learning.

In addition to the new learning app, Gradely has also launched Queruo, an online coding platform for kids. This project, in partnership with Japan’s Sprix Inc Limited, aims to teach children as young as five to code using Scratch and JavaScript through fun, game-based lessons. Hiroki Watanabe, CEO of Sprix Inc, praised Gradely’s innovative approach and wide reach. He believes the Coding Hub will help children develop important problem-solving skills, boost their creativity, and prepare them for future careers in technology.

Gradely’s goal is to reach 1 million students by 2026, helping Nigerian students compete globally.
