About the Scholarship
The INTERACT Africa Scholarship Program aims to support mobility and education in innovative green technologies for climate change mitigation and sustainable bioeconomy. The scholarship covers tuition fees, travel costs, visa expenses, and a monthly stipend.
Scholarship Benefits
- Full tuition fee coverage for the duration of the study program

- Monthly stipend of €1,230 for PhD students and €890 for Master’s students

- Maximum duration: 36 months for PhD, 24 months for Master’s
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the INTERACT Africa Scholarship Program 2024, applicants must:
- Meet the admission requirements for Master’s or PhD programs at the host university
- Provide proof of African nationality and residency
- Submit a research concept paper in the intended area of study (1 page, Times New Roman, single spacing)
- Secure admission to a host university in Kenya, Tanzania, Ethiopia, or Congo
- Not have benefited from a previous scholarship under the Intra-Africa Academic Mobility Scheme 2022-2027
- Commit to not receiving another EU-funded scholarship during the mobility period
How to Apply
To apply for the INTERACT Africa Scholarship Program 2024, follow these steps:
- Visit the program’s website.
- Apply for admission to a Master’s or PhD program at any of the partner universities.
- Fill out the online scholarship application form.
- Submit the required documents, including proof of African origin and residency, a research concept paper, motivation letter, and recommendation letters.
- Note that applicants must concurrently apply for admission to the host university, as scholarships will only be awarded to candidates with admission letters.
