The Federal Ministry of Education has approved the promotion and confirmation of 47 senior staff members of the National Board for Technical Education (NBTE).
This decision was communicated through a letter dated March 13, 2025, signed by the Ministry’s Director of Human Resources, Omotayo F. Adeyemi, according to a statement issued on Monday in Kaduna by the NBTE’s Head of Media Unit, Fatimah Abubakar.
The approval aims to sustain institutional growth and operational efficiency despite the absence of the NBTE Governing Board since March 2021. Among those promoted are nine Acting Directors who, after undergoing written examinations and an oral interview, have now been confirmed as substantive Directors.
The statement expressed optimism that the Federal Government would establish a new Governing Board for the NBTE this year, ensuring smoother operations and improved service delivery. It added, “We remain hopeful that President Bola Tinubu will constitute a new Governing Board for the NBTE in 2025, allowing the Board to function optimally and fulfill its mandate.”
The Ministry reaffirmed its commitment to fostering excellence in leadership and maintaining efficient structures for policy implementation.
