The Federal Ministry of Education (FME) has formed a seven-member committee to combat bullying in Nigerian schools.
This initiative underscores the Ministry’s dedication to ensuring student safety and fostering a conducive learning environment, according to a statement released on Tuesday in Abuja by the Director of Press and Public Relations, Boriowo Folasade.
Minister of Education, Dr. Maruf Olatunji Alausa, highlighted the urgent need for decisive action, stressing the emotional and psychological toll bullying takes on students. The newly established committee will investigate reported cases and implement swift responses, complementing the efforts of a 21-member team currently developing a National Policy on Anti-Bullying.
