Nigenius Technologies, in partnership with the Universal Basic Education Commission (UBEC), recently organized a four-day workshop aimed at enhancing the skills of selected teachers from UBE Model Smart schools in Abuja.
Workshop Focus Areas
The workshop, held from April 3rd to April 6th, 2024, at the UBEC Digital Resource Center in Mabushi Abuja, focused on Design Thinking, Coding, Robotics, and Artificial Intelligence (A.I) implementation. Participating educators were immersed in various aspects of technology education, including block-based programming with Ucode, U-KIT Robot assembly, Computational thinking using Sam Lab, basics of circuits, programming with Arduino, Drone technology, and the smart home project.
Key Highlights
A significant moment during the program occurred on the third day when the Executive Secretary of UBEC and the National Coordinator of the Digital Resource Center, UBEC, along with the Group CEO of Ulesson, visited the trainees. Their presence served to inspire and motivate the participants, encouraging them to leverage the acquired knowledge for the benefit of their students.
