Elite Global AI, Africa’s leading AI education firm, has launched an initiative aimed at empowering 1 million individuals with AI skills by 2030. They began by enrolling 1,000 students aged 16 to 25 years in their first phase. This is part of their effort to prepare young people in Africa for jobs that use AI technology.
The training, which took place from June 12 to June 21, attracted participants from over 20 countries across four continents, including Nigeria, Cameroon, India, Ghana, Kenya, and South Africa. The curriculum covered AI for Education, AI for Business & Data Analysis, and Content Creation & Digital Marketing, equipping students with importanatskills for today’s job market.
Vwakpor Efuetanu, CEO of Elite Global AI, highlighted the importance of these programs due to high youth unemployment. He mentioned that Nigeria has about 65% of young people without jobs, and Africa, with its vast workforce, also deals with similar issues.
The organization plans to offer free training to more than 1 million students and has already made significant progress. The initial phase trained over 1,000 students from different African countries.
Blessing Ikpia, Brand Director of Marketing, Sales, and Content Production, emphasized the partnership with international collaborators such as Extern and Ignite Excel. She emphasized their role in preparing students for positions in Fortune 500 companies globally.
Emmanuel Agida, Brand and Strategy Director and ECOWAS Youth Ambassador, restated the organization’s worldwide vision. He affirmed, “Our aim is to empower as many individuals as we can through AI education, promoting financial literacy, and ensuring AI is accessible.”
Looking forward, CEO Vwakpor Efuetanu expressed optimism about the results of the training, saying, “The feedback from participants is very rewarding.” He also revealed plans to enroll an extra 5,000 students for the next phase of training, all free of charge. “We don’t just offer training; we also arrange internships, externships, and job opportunities with our partners, improving their preparedness for careers in Nigeria and globally.”
Elite Global AI remains committed to revolutionizing education, ensuring that students in Nigeria, Africa, and beyond are well-equipped to thrive in an AI-driven job market.
