The University of Guelph in Canada has announced the applications for the 2025 Entrance Franco Vaccarino President’s Award for international undergraduate students.
The Dr. Franco J. Vaccarino President’s Scholarship, established in honor of Dr. Franco Vaccarino, is the University of Guelph’s prestigious undergraduate entrance award for international students, valued at $42,500.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be entering their first semester of any undergraduate degree program at the University of Guelph.
- Be an international (VISA) student.
- Have not previously attended a postsecondary institution.
- Hold an admissions average equivalent to at least 90.0% in a Canadian curriculum.
- Demonstrate significant leadership contributions to their school and community.
- Canadian citizens and permanent residents of Canada are not eligible.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of this scholarship will receive:
- The scholarship will provide a full tuition fee waiver for the year, plus a stipend of £8,000 which will be paid over 12 months.
- Applicants who can evidence their refugee status will be considered a priority group, however the University may extend the invite to apply to further applicants.
Selection for the program is based on:

- Innovative and unique approaches to implementing change or improving life.
- Demonstrated potential for future leadership.
