Scholarship Details
The Stanford University Summer Internship aims to build community and create a cohort of future graduate student engineers who can promote diversity of thought and experience within the engineering and science student body.
Since its inception, SURF has been a vehicle for undergraduate students to conduct scientific research and a foundation for them to pursue graduate studies in science and engineering.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this fellowship, applicants must:
- Be a Nigerian
- Be a student from the University of Ibadan.
- Be a third-year student (who will complete their third year before September 2025).
- Have First Class Honors with a cumulative grade point average of 70/100 or above.
- Have demonstrated interest in research in biochemistry, microbiology, immunology, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
- Be willing to spend 8-10 ten weeks in a research training internship at Stanford University in the United States during the summer of 2025.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the internship will receive:
