The Federal Government National Health Fellows Program will last for a year and will provide participants with training, fieldwork, and mentorship.

Program Details
The National Health Fellows Is A program organized by the government of nigeria, led by the Nigeria Health Sector Renewal Investment Initiative Coordination Office Under The Federal Ministry Of Health And Social Welfare.
The program seeks to comprehensively upgrade existing primary healthcare centres and construct over 8,800 new primary healthcare centres across all local government areas in the country for accessible and qualitative healthcare delivery with the provision of new social accountability mechanisms.
Also, participating fellows will receive a stipend to support their participation and living expenses during the programme.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this program, applicants must:
- Must be between the ages of 25 and 35.
- Hold a bachelor’s degree (health-related, IT, or social sciences).
- Demonstrable interest or experience in either public health or health-related NGO and partner organisations or community projects that demonstrate leadership and initiative.
- Applicants must be available to participate full-time in the fellowship programme.
- Applicants must be an indigene of the state being applied for.
- Applicants must possess smartphones with data capabilities i.e. for WhatsApp, Zoom etc.
- Recommendation from the University Dean OR NYSC place of primary assignment, or a respected organisation demonstrating character and leadership.
- Demonstrated analytical skills and entrepreneurial drive.
