Flour Mill of Nigeria has opened application for the 2025 FMN Prize for Innovation (PFI) established to encourage new ideas and innovations in the food and agro-allied sector in Nigeria and across the continent.
This year’s edition of the program will award ₦10m prizes and focus on big ideas, technology-powered solutions, and simple yet ingenious Innovative practices in Livestock farming in Nigeria.

Program Details
Flour Mill FMN Prize for Innovation aims at driving Food Self-Sufficiency in Nigeria Through Precision Agriculture.
The competition was split into two categories, to accept entries from Nigerian MSMEs & Nigerian students in undergraduate and postgraduate levels.
- Category 1: Registered Businesses (Micro, Small & Medium Scale Enterprise Owners)
- Category 2: Nigerian Students (Undergraduates & Post Graduates)
After the submission of proposals or applications, the Group through the PFI management team will assess, review, and test the processes utilized by these players.
They will also provide winning ideas/content with resources and support needed to boost their business sustainability progressively.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this program, applicants must:
- Be students with interest in the food and agro-allied industry or a registered food or agro-allied business in Nigeria.
- Have big ideas, technology-powered solutions, and simple yet ingenious Innovative practices in Livestock farming in Nigeria.
Program Benefits
Successful applicants of this program will receive:
- 5,000,000 Naira- 1st Prize
- 3,000,000 Naira- 2nd Prize
- 2,000,000 Naira – 3rd Prize

- Fill out the application form and submit.
- Successful candidates in each category will be invited to pitch their ideas in front of live judges who will award the winners their respective prizes.
- Only one entry will be accepted per person. Multiple entries from the same person will be disqualified.
- The closing date for entry will be 15th February 2024.
- After this date, no further entries to the competition will be permitted except the deadline is extended.
