Scholarship Details
The CKF SHE Soars Scholarship makes postsecondary education possible for girls from lower-income families.
The program was launched in 2019, and it provides need-based financial sponsorship to female graduates of Nigerian public secondary schools and matches the girls with successful career and business women for mentorship.
As of today, there are 26 SOARS Scholars in 14 universities across the country studying Medicine and Surgery, Mechatronics Engineering, Physiotherapy, Aeronautics, Astronautic Engineering, Agricultural Extension, Psychology, Law, and Accounting.
Eligibility Criteria
To be qualified for The CKF SHE Soars Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be female graduates of a Nigerian public secondary school and
- Have verifiable proof of admission into a Nigerian public tertiary institution.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of The CKF SHE Soars Scholarship will receive:
- ₦300,000/annum and is estimated to cover tuition, books, and a modest monthly living stipend.
- The sponsorship duration would span the student’s entire course of study which in our estimate would be 4-6 years depending on the course of study.
