Qualified students will receive ₦20,000, while those studying professional courses like Engineering, Medicine, Law, Agriculture, and Education (leading to qualified teacher status) will receive ₦30,000.

Scholarship Details
The Akwa Ibom State Government is excited to announce the launch of the new and improved Student Bursary and Support Grant Portal, a dedicated online platform designed to simplify the application process for students applying for the yearly bursary payment.
This provides a gateway where every student from Akwa Ibom State studying in a public (non-private) tertiary institution in Nigeria can apply for the yearly student bursary.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be registered, full-time indigent but intelligent students in Federal or State Universities
- Be at least in their 2nd year of study;
- Have a minimum of 3.50 Cumulative Grade Points Average (CGPA) on a 5.00 scale
- Produce testimonials from your institution
- present certificate of origin from their respective Local Government Council in Akwa Ibom State
- Not be more than Twenty-five (25) years of age at the time of application;
- All applicants will be expected to state the financial status / occupation / means of livelihood of their Parents, after fulfilling the academic requirement
- All beneficiaries will be expected to submit academic results at the end of every session to determine their continued eligibility for the scholarship based on their CGPA, which will be verified by the Ministry of Education / State Scholarships Board
