Scholarship Details
Google Summer of Code is a global, online program focused on bringing new contributors into open source software development.
GSoC Contributors work with an open source organization on a 12+ week programming project under the guidance of mentors.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Google Summer of Code, applicants must:
- Be eighteen (18) years of age or older upon registration.
- Be enrolled in or accepted into an accredited institution (college, university, master’s program, PhD program, or undergraduate program) as of the Acceptance Date.
- Be eligible to work in their country of residence for the duration of the program.
- Previous Participation: Students who have participated in Google Summer of Code two (2) or more times previously are ineligible.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of the Google Summer of Code will receive:
- A $6000 USD stipend, allowing them to concentrate on coding for three months.
