Applications are now open for the McCall MacBain Scholarships, which offer up to 30 full scholarships and 100 entrance awards for Summer/Fall 2025 admission to master’s or professional studies at McGill University. This prestigious scholarship is designed to support students who demonstrate leadership potential, community involvement, entrepreneurial spirit, and academic excellence.
The application deadlines are as follows:
- For Canadian and U.S. Applicants: September 25, 2024, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
- For International Applicants: August 21, 2024, at 4:00 PM Eastern Time.
The McCall MacBain Scholarships provide full financial support for master’s and second-entry professional undergraduate programs at McGill University. Recipients will have their tuition and fees covered for the duration of their program, receive a living stipend of $2,000 CAD per month during academic terms, a one-time relocation grant for moving to Montréal, and up to $5,000 CAD for meaningful summer experiences if they are not pursuing academic terms during the summer.
To be eligible for the McCall MacBain Scholarships, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
- Be a current student on track to earn their first bachelor’s degree by August 2025.
- Have earned their first bachelor’s degree in the last five years (January 2019 or later).
- Have earned their first bachelor’s degree more than five years ago and be 30 years or younger in 2024.
Additionally, applicants must meet the minimum degree and language requirements for admission to a McGill master’s program.
The application process involves several steps:
- The application portal opens on June 1, 2024.
- Complete the online application and submit two reference forms.
- More than 250 semi-finalists will be invited for regional interviews from October to December 2024.
- Up to 85 finalists will be invited to final interviews in Montréal in March 2025, with travel costs covered.
