Flinders University is currently accepting applications for its 2024 PhD Scholarship within the Audiology program at the College of Nursing and Health Sciences. This exciting opportunity is for a motivated candidate who wishes to conduct research on the challenges children with hearing loss face in noisy environments, such as classrooms. Children with chronic hearing loss often struggle with language development and social skills, even with early intervention and the use of hearing aids. The research aims to study how these children listen to conversational speech in busy settings, helping to improve educational outcomes and quality of life for affected children.
This PhD position is fully funded by Flinders University and will be supervised by Professor Mridula Sharma, a leading expert in the field. If you have a background in Audiology or Cognitive Neuroscience and have a passion for working with children, this could be a fantastic opportunity for you to advance your research career while making a meaningful impact.
