Anambra State Governor, Chukwuma Soludo, has awarded a cheque of N500,000 to Miss Ifebude Benson for her outstanding performance as the overall best candidate in the 2023 Senior Secondary School Certificate Examination conducted by the National Examination Council (NECO).

The Commissioner for Education, Prof. Ngozi Chuma-Udeh, presented the award on behalf of the governor to Ifebude’s father, Mr. Ben Benson, during a ceremony on Sunday in Awka.

Speaking at the event, Chuma-Udeh emphasized that the award reflects the governor’s commitment to promoting academic excellence among students in the state.

“The Anambra State Government has made significant investments in education to ensure it meets global standards and equips our children to compete with their peers worldwide,” she said.
