The President of the American Polytechnic of Nigeria (APN), Dr. Oludare Akande, has announced a N1 billion scholarship fund for prospective students enrolling in the 2024/2025 academic year.
Speaking to journalists on Saturday, Dr. Akande stated that the scholarship disbursement would be managed through the Dr. Oludare Akande Foundation’s Scholarship Program. He further revealed that the scholarship portal would officially open on April 14, 2025, allowing eligible students to apply.
According to Akande, students can receive up to N200,000 per year to support their academic journey. He emphasized that the scholarship would be primarily need-based but would also recognize and reward outstanding academic performance.
Reaffirming his dedication to education, Akande highlighted the importance of equipping Nigerian students with the knowledge, skills, and global exposure necessary for success in today’s economy. He stressed that APN’s partnership with Lewis University in Romeoville, Illinois, provides students with access to internationally recognized qualifications, easing their transition into a world-class educational system while alleviating financial burdens.
Dr. Akande encouraged prospective students and parents to explore the diverse academic programs and scholarship opportunities available at APN.
