Scholarship Details

The Estonian Ministry of Education and Research and the Education and Youth Board offer these scholarships to foreign nationals based on bilateral agreements. Since 2016, the Government of Estonia Scholarships have been part of the Estonian Scholarship Programme, supporting international students, researchers, and academic staff.

Eligibility Requirements

To be eligible for the Estonia Degree and Exchange Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Master’s and Doctoral levels: All fields of study.
  • Exchange Students:
  • Must be enrolled in a foreign higher education institution.
  • The scholarship covers up to 10 calendar months per year in Estonia.

Benefits of the Scholarship

  • Bachelor’s and Master’s students receive €350 per month.
  • Doctoral students receive €660 per month.
  • Degree students are funded for 12 months of the academic year.
  • Exchange students are funded for up to 10 calendar months per year.

To apply, candidates need to prepare the following documents:

  • Confirmation of admission from an Estonian higher education institution

  4. Submit your application form and required documents to rvo.dokumendid@harno.ee.
  5. Ensure all documents are attached to the email. Scanned copies of signed documents are acceptable.

The application period is open from August 1, 2024, to September 1, 2024 (23:59, Estonian time). Applications without a confirmation letter of admission from an Estonian higher education institution will not be processed.
