The University of New Brunswick offers a fully funded scholarship for international students interested in graduate studies in Canada. This scholarship covers tuition and fees and provides a yearly stipend of $25,000 for selected applicants.
The Zimmer Lab at the University of New Brunswick Saint John is seeking MSc and PhD students to join their research team. The lab studies the physiological mechanisms that aquatic organisms, primarily fishes, use to cope with environmental changes and extremes. Through this scholarship, students will explore physiological responses to changes in salinity, freshwater acidification, pollution, and other stressors.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the 2024 University of New Brunswick Scholarship, applicants must:
- Hold a bachelor’s degree in a related field.
- Meet the university’s entry and admission requirements.
- Fulfill the English Language requirements of the University of New Brunswick.
- Show interest in research areas such as the ecophysiology of fishes, genetic basis of salinity tolerance, pollution adaptation mechanisms, and developmental physiology of euryhaline fishes.
Prior experience working with fish or other aquatic organisms is advantageous but not required.
Benefits:
