Eligibility Criteria
Applicants must meet one or both of the following criteria:
- Identify as female, Black African, Black Caribbean, or other Black ethnicity.
- Demonstrate financial need, showing they cannot accept the offer without assistance.
Additionally, applicants must:
- Hold a conditional or unconditional offer for the MSc Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning at the University of Birmingham.
- Be ordinarily resident in the UK or classified as an international student for fee-paying purposes.
Scholarship Benefits
The DeepMind Scholarship provides comprehensive financial support:
- International scholarships valued at £52,565 each and UK scholarships at £34,225 each.
- Coverage of international tuition fees (£27,540) and UK tuition fees (£10,980).
- A maintenance grant of £19,345 for living costs, paid in instalments over the course duration.
- Funding up to £2,200 for attending international conferences in AI and Machine Learning.
- £1,700 towards the purchase of essential equipment like laptops.
- £1,870 to assist with relocation expenses.
Application Process
Applications are accepted only from offer holders of the MSc Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning program. Follow these steps to apply:
