The University of Edinburgh GREAT Scholarship offers financial support of £10,000, which is directly deducted from tuition fees.

Scholarship Details

The GREAT Scholarships 2025 programme, launched by the British Council in collaboration with 71 UK universities, is designed to support international students in accessing quality education in the UK.

Through this partnership, the University of Edinburgh is offering financial assistance to eligible students from five countries to study full-time one-year master’s programmes during the 2025–2026 academic year.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the University of Edinburgh GREAT Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be nationals and residents of Thailand, India, Spain, Mexico, or Nigeria
  • Hold, or be expected to obtain, the overseas equivalent of a UK first-class honours degree
  • Be admitted on a full-time basis for an eligible one-year, on-campus postgraduate Master’s programme
  • Be applying for a course that is eligible under the GREAT Scholarship programme

Scholarship Benefits

Successful applicants will receive:

  • A £10,000 tuition fee deduction, applied directly to their master’s degree programme

  • Apply for admission to an eligible postgraduate programme at the University of Edinburgh
  • After submitting your admission application, wait up to five working days for system checks and access approval
  • Access the scholarship application form via EUCLID through the MyEd portal: https://www.myed.ed.ac.uk
  • Log in using your University User Name and password
