The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced a change in the commencement date for the 2025 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME). According to the new schedule, the examination will now begin on Thursday, April 24, 2025, a day earlier than the previously announced date of Friday, April 25.
The decision to shift the date was made to accommodate important commitments involving JAMB and its partner agencies. This was revealed in a statement issued in Abuja on Saturday by the Board’s Public Communication Advisor, Dr Fabian Benjamin.
In the same statement, Dr Benjamin informed prospective candidates that their UTME Notification Slips are now available for printing. These slips contain important details such as the candidate’s exam date, venue, time, and other necessary instructions for the smooth conduct of the examination.
Candidates are encouraged to print their slips starting from Saturday, April 19, 2025. This early access is to ensure they have enough time to make the necessary preparations, including locating and familiarising themselves with their exam centres.
To print the notification slip, candidates are to visit the official JAMB website and follow the instructions provided for UTME Slip Printing. They are strongly advised to complete this process at least one or two days before their exam date to avoid any last-minute issues.
The Board emphasised that all candidates will be assigned to centres within their selected examination towns, and none will be posted outside their chosen locations.
