Governor Hope Uzodimma of Imo State has called for policy reforms, legislation, and administrative strategies to foster collaboration between public and private schools to enhance the quality of education in Nigeria.
Speaking at the maiden convocation ceremony of Hezekiah University, the first private university in Imo State, the governor emphasized the need for a unified approach in the education sector. The event, held in Ishiala Umudi, Nkwerre Local Government Area, also saw the First Lady of the state, Barr. Mrs. Chioma Uzodimma, being conferred with an honorary Doctor of Public Administration degree.
Governor Uzodimma, who had earlier inaugurated a newly constructed students’ hostel and classroom complex at the university, commended the institution’s founder, Most Rev. Prof. Daddy Hezekiah of Living Faith Church Incorporated, for his vision in establishing a private university.
