Scholarship Details
The Singapore International Pre-Graduate Award (SIPGA) gives international students the unique opportunity to experience the vibrant scientific environment and work with world-renowned researchers at A*STAR’s Research Entities.
Students who are pursuing their bachelor’s or master’s degree in Computing and Information Science, Biomedical Science, Physical Science or Engineering-related disciplines can apply for attachments of two to six months in duration.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be international 3rd and 4th year undergraduate and master’s students from overseas universities in STEM courses
- Have obtained or be on track to obtain at least a Second-Class (Upper) Honours or equivalent for bachelor’s degree
- Students must remain matriculated in their home university during the attachment period
- Be proficient in written and spoken English
- Have strong interest in a research career
- A*STAR may include additional selection criteria based on prevailing scholarship policies.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of this scholarship will receive:
- A monthly stipend of S$2,000

- Preview and download the list of SIPGA projects to identify the project(s) you wish to apply for.
- Please prepare the following supporting documents for submission:
- Copy of passport
- Complete academic transcripts of applicant’s bachelor and/or masters (if applicable) degree. Translated transcripts are necessary if the originals are not in English.
- Updated Resume / Curriculum Vitae

- Shortlisted applicants will be contacted by the A*STAR researcher for an online interview.
- Successful applicants will generally be notified within 2 months from the date of interview.
