Scholarship Details
Yunnan University of Finance and Economics Chinese Government Scholarship “High-Level Postgraduate” Program is a full scholarship program established by the Ministry of Education of China.
The Yunnan University of Finance and Economics is a multidisciplinary university that develops synergistically after 66 years of development and has formed a link of bachelor’s, master’s and doctoral education, becoming a major in economics and management, law, philosophy, literature, science, engineering, art and other disciplines.
In the 2025 academic year, the university will recruit full-time Chinese Government Scholarship graduate students from all over the world.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Be citizens of countries other than China.
- For master’s programs: Hold a bachelor’s degree and be under the age of 35.
- For doctoral programs: Hold a master’s degree and be under the age of 40.
- Proficiency in Chinese language (HSK Level 4) for Chinese-taught programs or meet language requirements for English-taught programs.
- Fulfill the academic and admission requirements of the applied program.

Successful applicants of this scholarship will receive:
- Exemption from registration fees, tuition fees, insurance fees, basic teaching materials, and accommodation costs.
- Monthly living expenses provided as per Chinese Government Scholarship standards.
- Free accommodation on campus (double rooms for master’s students and single rooms for doctoral students).
- Comprehensive medical insurance and outpatient services.
- Duration: Master degree 3 years whereas for doctoral degree programmes 4 years (With 1 year extension for each possible).
