The EPFL Excellence Scholarship offers fully funded fellowships at master’s level to students with outstanding academic records.
This scholarship comes with a sum of CHF 10,000 per semester, Reservation of a student room in a student residence, and a certificate of excellence at the end of the program.

Scholarship Details
EPFL offers 29 Masters degree programs. The programs are distributed among the five faculties and two colleges that make up the School.
The EPFL Excellence Scholarship worth CHF 10,000 per semester, are available to students who have obtained their Bachelor’s degree at EPFL, as well as to those who have begun their university studies at another institution.
Their objective is to allow students to concentrate on their Master’s studies while also having the opportunity to undertake various activities likely to enrich their professional background and to develop cross-disciplinary skills.
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for this scholarship, applicants must:
- Applicants from any country with any nationality applying to an EPFL Master’s Program are eligible for the Scholarship in Switzerland.
- Anyone holding a Bachelor’s degree (or the equivalent) in a related field from a recognized university can apply to one of the EPFL Masters Programs.
- The selections of candidates and the fundings of the fellowships are done based solely on the evaluation of the academic records of the candidates.
Scholarship Benefits
Successful applicants of this scholarship will receive:
- CHF 10’000 Per Semester, CHF 40’000 ($45,650) for a 2-Year degree / CHF 30’000 for a 1.5-year Degree.

- Recommendation letters.
- Extra documents, such as TOEFL or GRE scores, research publications, or other portfolios of applicant’s previous work, are welcome but not compulsory.
