Program Details 

The African World Heritage Fund Internship is a six-month internship opportunity for passionate individuals to contribute to preserving Africa’s cultural and natural heritage.

As a Partnership and Communication Intern, the successful candidate will gain valuable experience in social media management, content development, communications, and partnerships while contributing to the preservation and promotion of Africa’s rich cultural and natural heritage.

The position is remote, open to candidates from the African continent and the African Diaspora, and comes with a monthly stipend.

Eligibility Criteria 

To be eligible for this internship, applicants must:

  • Be from the African continent and the African Diaspora.
  • Be currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, Heritage/Environmental Studies, or a related field.
  • Have proficiency in English and/or French; knowledge of Arabic or Portuguese is an advantage.
  • Have demonstrated skills in social media management, content creation, and communication.
  • Have familiarity with tools like Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, WordPress, and social media analytics tools.
  • Have strong skills in social media management and content creation.
  • Be Proficient in photo and video editing.
  • Have excellent communication and writing skills.
  • Have knowledge of website management and SEO principles.
  • Have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Demonstrate passion for heritage conservation and cultural sensitivity.
