The National Association of Polytechnic Students (NAPS) has signed a pact with an internet provider, Tridentnet Wireless Nig. Ltd, to improve research and other learning activities at various campuses nationwide.
The pact, which was signed at the Cooperative College, Ibadan, on Thursday, aims to address internet-related challenges facing polytechnic students in Nigeria.
NAPS Senate President, Com. Adeniji Temitope, lamented that many students face difficulty in accessing wireless internet facilities while on campus, despite paying for ICT and internet services without enjoying the benefits.
He stated that in its bid to proffer a lasting solution to the challenges faced by the students, the leadership of NAPS has entered into a partnership with Tridentnet Wireless Nig Ltd for affordable services.
He said, “As we all know, internet access is one of the ways to make study easier for us, which is why we approached different companies to provide wireless internet for us on campuses before we met Tridentnet Wireless Nig. Ltd, and they are ready to provide easy access for us.
“The polytechnic and other affiliate institutions are for research and to provide technology advancement to grow the Nigerian economy.
