Scholarship Details

The KAIST University Graduate Scholarship offers a wide array of academic programs and majors for international students interested in pursuing Master’s or PhD degrees at the Korean Advanced Institute of Science and Technology, University.

The KAIST Scholarship encompasses all necessary expenses for the duration of your degree program. The Master’s program scholarship lasts for 2 years, while the PhD program scholarship extends to 4 years, tailored to the specific degree requirements.

The Applications are open to apply for the KAIST University Graduate Scholarship 2025 for the Fall 2025 Track. Final-year Undergraduate students can also apply if they expect to graduate before September 2025.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for The KAIST University Graduate Scholarship, applicants must:

  • Be international students and must not hold Korean nationality.
  • For the master’s degree program, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or be expected to receive it by August 31st, 2025.
  • For the doctoral degree program, candidates must hold a bachelor’s degree or expected to receive it by August 31st, 2025.
  • Final-year Undergraduate students can also apply if they expect to graduate before September 2025.

Scholarship Benefits

  • Total Tuition Fee Exemption for 4 semesters for Master’s degree candidates, 10 for Master’s-Ph.D. integrated degree candidates and 8 for Ph.D. degree candidates.
  • Monthly Stipend (Up to 2,500,000 KRW): Stipend covers the cost of accommodation and other expenses.
  • National Health Insurance Premium
  • Opportunity to engage in part-time jobs for additional income.

  • Those who completed their bachelor’s or masters in English native speaking countries are also exempt from the English Proficiency Test report.
  • National Identity document of both parents.
